About Alex

Alex Large is a Capitol Hill veteran of 15 years, drawing from nearly 10 years of experience in the House of Representatives and over 5 years of high-level lobbying and legislative advocacy. With a strong grasp of the legislative process and a reputation for strategic insight, Alex brings a pragmatic and results-oriented approach to advocacy and public policy.

A Nashville native, Alex studied Economics and Business Administration at the University of Tennessee before moving to DC to work for Congressman Phil Roe (R-TN). After covering responsibility for a wide range of core issue areas in Roe’s office, he then served as Coalition Director and Professional Staff Member on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs under Chairman Roe, where he played a key role in advancing legislative priorities, supporting Members, and shaping policy at the committee level.

Prior to joining GuidePost, Alex was a federal lobbyist for the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA), focusing on federal legislative strategy, stakeholder engagement, and coalition building to defend and promote Second Amendment rights.
